Awyn Shandar spots a plummeting ship headed for his home world and races to the
rescue. Little does he realize how fiesty a woman he’ll save or the war that will
ensue after Voyager Zara Dior wakes to discover she’s a prisoner awaiting trial.
Left to a foreign Queen’s mercy, Zara becomes a prime target in the marauding
Vahezhno’s plot to overthrow Aquilar’s government. As her protector, Awyn can’t
let that happen, for her or his people. Their warrior wills clash, but ultimately they
must band together for a common goal—to keep her alive.
At the climax, Zara's heart is torn. Will duty be her homing beacon to Sartin? Is the
love her father foretold stronger than the ties of her valor? Or will she have to blend
both forces together like their one of a kind relationship to save Awyn's people?
